# About EA Finance

### What is EA Finance?

EA Finance is a crypto financial infrastructure platform built natively on the Canton Network, designed to unlock liquidity, usability, and real economic activity across the ecosystem.

The “EA” in EA Finance stands for East Asia — a deliberate nod to the region’s historic role as a gateway between Eastern and Western markets. Much like how Canton Province in China served for centuries as the economic and cultural bridge connecting global trade routes, EA Finance positions itself as the liquidity gateway that connects Canton Network to the wider multichain world.

Canton Network offers institutional-grade privacy, compliance, and settlement guarantees, but its ecosystem has remained isolated and underutilized. EA Finance solves this by building the bridges, primitives, and user-facing products that move liquidity in and out of Canton safely and efficiently.

Our mission is clear:\
**Make Canton liquid.**\
**Make Canton accessible.**\
**Make Canton part of the global crypto economy.**

Through products like Wrapped Canton Coin (wCC), EA Finance enables seamless capital flow from mature EVM chains into Canton, giving $CC real DeFi utility and enabling swaps, staking, lending, and more. We combine Canton’s regulatory-friendly architecture with the openness and dynamism of public DeFi — allowing users, institutions, and liquidity providers to access the best of both worlds.
