How does $wCC connect?

The wCC system architecture consists of The Safe on the Canton Network, which locks and releases native CC from both CEXs and Canton wallets, and The Portal on EVM chains, which mints and burns wCC based on verified state changes from Canton.

These two components are synchronized through a secure inter-chain messaging layer powered by LayerZero, ensuring that every wCC minted on BSC, ETH, Base, or other supported EVM networks is fully backed 1:1 by CC locked in The Safe. This design cleanly separates Canton custody from EVM liquidity while enabling a seamless, trust-minimized flow of assets across chains.
